How to get to Groningen

The easiest way to get to Groningen is to fly to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS). From there, you can take a direct train to Groningen.

  • The journey takes about 2 hours. Trains depart directly from Schiphol Airport train station, located beneath the airport.
  • You can purchase your train ticket at the airport (ticket machines) or online.
  • We recommend downloading the free NS app (Dutch Railways), which provides real-time schedules, platform information, and ticket options.
